Meadowlark Gallery: The Artist Biographies

William Hugh Jennings was born on February 2, 1963. Hugh took some art classes at the Loveland Academy of Fine Art in Loveland, Colorado. He has been together with his father operating "The Hitching Post Gallery" in Buffalo, Wyoming for over ten years. As a child he played with cast metal images of dogs, cars, horses and fish in his parents trophy and award shop. The polished detailed surfaces intrigued him. Growing up on a remote Wyoming ranch and spending summers in the Big Horn Mountains, gave many opportunities to watch the different animals making their homes there. For the past decade, he has captured experiences in the permanence of bronze for others to enjoy. William Hugh Jennings and his wife, Melinda, live at the base of the Big Horn Mountains in northern Wyoming.
