Mimi Grant

Painting, with an emphasis on wildlife and the places they inhabit, have been the focus of Mimi Grant's art world. With the help of workshops, she has refined her techniques in the mediums of scratchboard and oil. These she feels convey her feelings about nature and nature's children. Beginning with the C. M.Russell Art Auction in 1978, Mimi has been able to display her art in many different shows. These include the Easton Waterfowl Festival in Maryland, the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, South Carolina, the Orlando Wildlife Expo in Orlando, Florida, and the Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show in Seattle, Washington. She was honored to have a sold out show at the Stampede Western Invitational Art Exhibit in Greeley, Colorado. At the Stampede Show in 2010, her painting "End of a Hard Day" was selected for the Purchase Award. In 2006 she participated in the first "Cowgirl Up!" Show at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenberg, Arizona.  Mimi's latested award was being chosen for the Top 100 in the Paint the Parks Contest 2011. It is sponsored by Paint America. Her painings can also be found in many galleries through out the Northwest. These include the Glass Art Shop in Great Falls, Montana, the Meadowlark Gallery in Billings,Montana, and the Creighton Block Gallery in Big Sky, Montana.
