Chester Fields
A painter of wildlife and western themes in acrylic and tempera, Chester Fields was born in Dalles, Oregon in 1945. In addition to his painting he is also very prolific in sculpture. He began drawing insects at the age of five and moved to British Columbia with his family when he was ten. After graduating from Spokane Community College with a degree in commercial art, he was drafted into the U. S. Army and spent two years in Germany as a draftsman and illustrator. After his discharge, he was employed as a commercial artist for four years before becoming a professional wildlife artist and sculptor.
