Josh Elliott was born in Great Falls, Montana in 1973.  He was introduced to painting early on by his father Steve Elliott, who is a wildlife painter.  After studying at several universities, Josh spent a year mentored by his father, who became his greatest influence. During this time, Josh learned the importance of painting from life and discovered his passion for outdoor painting. Josh Elliott, with his wife Allison, lives and works out of his home studio in Helena, Montana.  Still dedicated to outdoor painting, he searches out compositions from nature. Through his art, he wants to share the joy and awe he finds in the outdoors.
