Tim Tanner

Tim Tanner was born on June 16, 1963 in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber High School in North Ogden, Utah in 1981. From 1982 to 1985 he went to Utah State University where he received a B.F.A. in Illustration in 1988. During this time he attended the California Art Institute in Thousand Oaks, California from 1986 to 1987. Tim then worked for a sign company and then in 1989 he started freelancing as an illustrator. Worked for a sign company and then in 1989 started freelancing as an illustrator. One of his first jobs was for Field and Stream. Shortly after he moved to Connecticut, Tim started doing paperback covers such as for Zane Grey and Reader’s Digest from 1988 to 1995. From there he moved to Idaho while still doing illustrations for the first couple of years and then went into gallery work.
