Meadowlark Gallery: The Artist Biographies

Robert Spannring

Robert Spannring began his art career in 1976. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana from 1978 to 1980. His career was further enlightened from 1984 to 1986 after working for Russell Chatham. From 1987 to 1992, Bob was the Artist in Residence at the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone National Park. Finally after many years of watercolor painting, he added oil painting. His past clients have included the Boone and Crockett Club, Bugle Boy, Defenders of Wildlife, Eagle Pass Ranch, the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, Greg Lilly Fly Fishing Services, International Federation of Fly Fishers, Montana Audubon Council; Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks; and the United States Forest Service.

We first worked with Bob Spannring in 1981 and it is a real pleasure to have his work in our gallery again. glt
