Ron Crooks
Ron Crooks was born in Glendale, California in 1925 and has lived near French Gulch, California since 1972. He enrolled in the Otis Art Institute in March of 1944 and completed only three weeks before he was drafted in to the U. S. Army. Two and a half years ago he returned home and enrolled again in the Otis Art Institute. After one year, he moved to the School of Allied Arts in Glendale. In 1950, he left school to go to work in the art department of an aircraft company. In 1968, after fifteen years in advertising art, he moved to the field of a full time artist in western art. He is a member of the American Artists of the Rockies.
